Aglow Magazine is truly written for women, by women. It beautifully captures every aspect of a woman’s life, health, finances, business, leadership, and both parental and marital relationships. The content is inspiring, eye-opening, and educational. Hello, my name is Folakemi Ojelabi. I am a minister of the gospel, an author, a visionary, and a coach. Born in Nigeria, I became a naturalized United States citizen in 2013 and currently reside in Dallas, Texas.
In 2019, I established the Watchful Women Group in response to a divine mandate to create a community of faith for women. Since then, the Watchful Women Community has expanded its influence and impact in various parts of the world, starting in Nigeria. We aim to spread globally as God continues to extend our territory.
The story of AGLOW began with a vision from God in 2024. After researching the meaning of the word, I discovered that “aglow” is closely associated with the Holy Spirit’s work in a believer’s life. It describes a state of spiritual fervor or intense enthusiasm, particularly in one’s relationship with God. You can find this scripture in Romans 12:11, where believers are encouraged not to be slothful in zeal but to be fervent in spirit and to serve the LORD.
The Bible exhorts believers to be “fervent in spirit,” capturing the essence of spiritual fervor. This verse encourages Christians to maintain a passionate and enthusiastic spirit in their service to God, suggesting that such fervor is a natural result of a life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Shortly after receiving the vision for AGLOW, we held the AGLOW conference in August 2024. The conference in Lagos, Nigeria, was impactful and life-changing, concluding with a dinner that left our members wanting more.
Immediately following the conference, God gave us the vision to publish the AGLOW magazine, a project designed to encapsulate the enthusiasm of the Christian life. AGLOW aims to foster the development of the Total Woman and inspire the fervency that God has deposited in us. We began working on this project in early 2025 and successfully launched it towards the end of the year.
In AGLOW, you will find testimonials that uplift your spirit and instill a sense of awe for God, along with articles focused on spirituality within the Christian faith, emotional management, marriage, leadership, and much more.
